    Liberia Showcases Investment Opportunities at World Economic Forum

    MONROVIA, January 20, 2026- Liberia is making waves at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, with Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti leading the charge.

    The country’s inaugural participation in the prestigious event according to Foreign Ministry release is a testament to its renewed commitment to proactive global engagement and economic diplomacy.

    The Liberian delegation, which includes Finance and Development Planning Minister, Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan and National Investment Commission Chairman Jeff Blibo, is showcasing the country’s investment opportunities and macroeconomic outlook.

    Their mission, the release said is to attract sustainable investments, promote economic growth, and create jobs.

    Liberia’s participation is aimed at showcasing its investment opportunities and macroeconomic outlook, with a focus on job creation and inclusive growth.

    The event, themed “A Spirit of Dialogue,” brings together global leaders to discuss pressing issues like economic pressures, climate risks, and technological change. Liberia’s presence is a significant milestone, highlighting its renewed push for international partnerships and economic diplomacy.

    At the high level globally Forum, Minister Ngafuan will deliver a keynote address highlighting Liberia’s transition toward investment readiness and emerging opportunities in key sectors.

    Delegation at the forum is expected to engage with global investors, multinational executives, and development finance leaders to forge strategic partnerships, as Liberia’s participation reflects a whole-of-government approach to economic diplomacy, anchored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

    Liberia’s debut at Davos is a significant milestone, demonstrating its commitment to international cooperation and sustainable development.

    As the country assumes a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council, it’s leveraging its diplomatic role to advocate for peace, climate action, and sustainable development.
