Bolahun Town, Kolahun District, Lofa County |May 22, 2026|A government school teacher and farmer, Mr. Boakai K. Kamara, has officially dedicated his newly constructed modern house in Bolahun Town, Kolahun District, Lofa County.

Speaking during a brief interview, Mr. Kamara explained that he works as a government-paid teacher and is also actively involved in cocoa farming in his hometown of Bolahun.

According to him, farming has played a major role in improving his life and supporting his educational achievements.

He said income from cocoa farming helped him complete the construction of his new home.

Mr. Kamara also revealed that proceeds from agriculture enabled him to earn a Bachelor of Science (BSC) degree in Education.

He currently teaches at Kolahun Central High School.

Describing the building, Mr. Kamara said the modern house contains six bedrooms, bathrooms, a sitting room, and a porch.

Residents described the structure as one of the notable homes in the area.

When asked about the cost of the project, Mr. Kamara estimated that the construction may have cost around 20,000 United States dollars, although he said he does not know the exact amount spent.

He expressed appreciation to the citizens of Bolahun Town and his family members for the support they provided throughout the construction process.

Mr. Kamara said the support and encouragement from community members motivated him to continue working hard both as a teacher and a farmer.

He encouraged fellow teachers and other citizens to engage in agriculture as another source of income and self-support.

According to him, farming can help families improve their living conditions and support education.

Community members praised Mr. Kamara’s achievement, describing it as a strong example of how agriculture and education can work together to support personal growth, community development, and economic empowerment in rural Liberia.
