LOWER LOFA – Residents of Lofa County’s electoral Districts #1 and #2, situated within Tangia Administrative District, are cut off due to bad road conditions exacerbated by damaged bridges, which are major sources of transportation in those areas, Rural Reporters News Network (RRNN) has independently gathered.
For over a decade now, citizens and residents in those parts of Lofa County have been suffering the brunt of bad roads and damaged bridges, RRNN has verified.
Businesspeople and citizens of Tangia Administrative District no longer carry out their normal activities within the area due to deplorable road conditions compounded by damaged bridges, according to an RRNN reporter in the area.
Locals of Lofa County’s Tangia Administrative District are now constrained to carry out business transactions in neighboring Sierra Leone, which is easily assessable.
Most citizens of the area, who spoke with RRNN, shared the belief that without good roads and bridges that part of the country will not be developed. They are, therefore, calling on stakeholders, especially their two lawmakers in the House of Representatives for both Districts #1 and #2, to advocate on their behalf for the betterment of the area, in terms of development.
