MONROVIA, Dec 3, 2024-The Superintendent of the Monrovia Consolidated School System MCSS,  James A.S  Momoh, departs Liberia for Sierra Leone  on a 4-day working visit to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the MCSS and the Sierra Leonean Government aims to strengthen Technical and Higher educational services within the MCSS.

Speaking at a Senior Management Team Meeting at the MCSS Central Office Monday, December 2, 2024, in Monrovia, Superintendent Momoh said the expected MoU when signed with the Sierra Leonean Government will allow employees to pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees at Sierra Leonean universities at a very low and affordable cost.

“We will be signing an MOU between the Sierra Leone government through Technical and Higher Education and the Government of Liberia through the Monrovia Consolidated School System this week in Freetown. The MOU is about giving opportunities to our MCSS teachers to attend teaching colleges in Sierra Leone in order to specialize in courses they teach. Embedded within this MOU, are opportunities ranging from bachelor’s degree to doctor of philosophy (PhD),” the MCSS Superintendent told RRNN.

Superintendent Momoh encouraged his senior managers to take advantage of the opportunity to become more useful and productive citizens, nothing that upon signing the MoU, once it kicks off, the opportunity would be for all MCSS employees.

He also used the occasion to call on all   Senior Management Team (SMT) members to encourage employees to brace themselves for the opportunities ahead.

The MCSS Boss departs Liberia today, Tuesday, December 3, 2024 and while away, the director for administration, Mr. Peter Y.  Marshall will act as Superintendent in closed consultation with the Comptroller, Madam Felecia P.
