Grand Kru County, Barclayville- January 13, 2025- Alice Doekar, a mother of five is reaching out to humanitarian individuals, institutions and local authorities for assistance for her youngest child, 9 year-old Thomas Doekar, who is visually impaired  and currently resides in Grand Kru County.

According to our Correspondent, Ms. Doekar, resident of Gblebo Town struggles to make ends meet without a stable job, and the challenges of raising her children; particularly Thomas have become increasingly overwhelming.

Ms. Doekar told our Correspondent that her child, Thomas Doekar who was born with visual impairment, requires special care and support but due to her precarious financial situation, she has been unable to provide such appropriate care and attention.

She recounted the difficulties of her day-to-day life, ensuring that her children have enough food to eat while grappling with the emotional weight of her son’s condition.

“Every day is a challenge,” said Alice, her voice filled with emotion. “I want to give Thomas the care and opportunities he deserves, but I struggle to provide for all my children. It breaks my heart to see him not being able to experience the world like other children,” she sorrowfully lamented.

She’s quoted as saying; the situation has become dire as she lacks the ability to access the necessary resources and medical care for Thomas.

Meanwhile, the mother of the 9-year-old boy is calling on non-governmental organizations, local government officials, and well-wishers to come forward with assistance, whether educational aid or financial resources to ameliorate for little Thomas Doekar current livelihood. Ms. Alice Doekar also provide our County correspondent in case someone intend to get in touch with her directly, said person can do so via: 0886224097- registered in the name
