    Deputy Education Minister stresses the need for unity and collaboration at Webbo Rural Teacher Training Institute…

    River Gee County, Fish Town – March 13, 2025 – Deputy Education Minister for instructions, Amos Fully, has stressed the need for unity and collaborations within the Webbo Rural Teacher Training Institute in order to achieve its positive outcome.

    Minister Fully emphasized that without unity and collaboration of any given institution or even family members, nothing can be achieved any positive outcomes.

    He added that whenever issues arise, administrators or heads of institution should use amicable and conflict resolution approaches as well as peace education methods to solve said problem.

    Deputy Ministers Amos Fully and Nyekeh Forkpa at the WRTTI’s Director Induction ceremony at Webbo, River Gee County.

    The Deputy Education Minister for Instruction has termed education as the best tool to solve societal problems and discourage destructive demonstrations and unnecessary violence.

    According to him, the Ministry of Education considers it essential to provide adequate support for educators, including salary increase and employment incentives, among others.

    Deputy Minister Fully also called for continued collaboration with partners, including UNICEF and the Carter Center, to address educational challenges in Liberia.

    MOE officials and WRTTI Staff who graced the Induction ceremony pose photo after the occasion.

    Minister Amos Fully made the remarks at programs marking the induction of Mr. Antonio Zayzay as Director of the Webbo Rural Teacher Training Institute (WRTTI in River Gee County.

    For his part, newly inducted Director of WRTTI in River Gee County, Mr. Zayzay, described education as a cornerstone for development, particularly in rural areas.

    Director Zayzay underscored the importance of fostering dedicated, innovative, and community-driven teachers to inspire future generations.

    He detailed the ongoing renovation of staff quarters and academic offices, the provision of modern teaching materials such as whiteboards, and the establishment of a school fund to support the Institute, among other initiatives.

    According to him, the contributions of partners like UNICEF and the Carter Center continued to make a significant impact, thus calling for renewed collaboration to address educational challenges and improve the quality of education across the country.

    One of the Institute’s security guards stands between vehicles at WRTTI.

    The newly inducted WRTTI Director reaffirmed his commitment to lead with integrity, honesty, and dedication as far as the institution’s policies are concerned.

    He also promised collaboration and unity among staff and students at the Webbo Rural Teacher Training Institute (WRTTI).

    Also speaking in a separate interview, River Gee County Education Officer (CEO) Sammy Jallah has vowed to work closely with the Webbo Rural Teacher Training Institute (WRTTI) in the County so as to get additional and well needed qualified teachers to help improve the educational system of River Gee.

    He also used the medium to call on sons and daughters of River Gee, especially university graduates in and out of the County to come back home and take advantage of the classroom for the betterment of River Gee County.

    The Webbo Rural Teacher Training Institute WRTTI is one of the 3rd Teachers Training Institutes in Liberia, located Southeast River Gee County, about 62KM away from the county Capital Fish-Town, boundary’s Maryland County and bordered neighboring Ivory Coast respectively.

    Meanwhile, the induction ceremony took place on March 5, 2025, held at the Institution campus in Webbo Kronnoken, River Gee County.
