River Gee County – A 34-year-old man identified as Charles Katieh, got tragically killed in River Gee County’s Tienpo Statutory District, after a falling tree struck him dead.

The heartrending incident occurred earlier this week in Dweh Village, while Katieh was engaged in a routine logging operation.

Katieh was assisting a power saw operator when, unexpectedly, a tree fell and fatally hit him, killing the 34-year-old instantly.

Amid this heartbreaking incident, local authorities established a 15-member jury to investigate the factors surrounding Katieh’s demise, with the jury concluded its investigation on the note that he died instantly from the impact of the tree. Following the investigation, his body was returned to his devastated family for burial.

This tragedy has sparked renewed discussions regarding safety protocols in forestry operations across River Gee County.
