Monrovia, Liberia, Saturday, November 15, 2025 – The President of the African Road Maintenance Funds Association, Mr. Moussa Essaie Aubin (ARMFA) has arrived in Liberia, marking a significant visit aimed at strengthening road infrastructure development in the country. Notably, Mr. Essaie is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Road Fund in Cameroon and assumed the role after being elected during the 20th Annual General Assembly in April 2023

Upon arrival, the ARMFA President was warmly welcomed by Mrs. Joseta Neufville-Wento, Manager of the National Road Fund of Liberia (NRF).

The visit is expected to foster collaboration between ARMFA and the NRF, focusing on sustainable road maintenance and financing strategies. Liberia’s road network has been a crucial aspect of the country’s development agenda, with the government prioritizing infrastructure improvement to boost economic growth.

Discussions between the ARMFA President and Liberian officials are likely to center around exploring innovative financing mechanisms for road maintenance, implementing measures to reduce accidents and enhance safety on Liberian roads, encouraging collaboration between the public and private sectors to improve road infrastructure.

The visit aligns with President Joseph Boakai’s ARREST agenda, which emphasizes the importance of road connectivity in driving economic growth and development.

The NRF, under the leadership of Mrs. Neufville-Wento, has been working tirelessly to improve Liberia’s road network, and this visit is expected to further bolster these efforts.

As a leading organization in promoting sustainable road maintenance in Africa, ARMFA’s involvement is crucial in shaping Liberia’s road sector. With nearly two decades of experience, ARMFA has been instrumental in advocating for best practices in road maintenance funding and management.

The ARMFA President’s visit to Liberia is a significant step towards enhancing the country’s road infrastructure and promoting economic development.
