The initiative received robust financial backing from the County Development Fund, amounting to 15,000.00 United States dollars, aimed at improving accessibility and fostering local development.

The event drew notable attendees, including community leaders, residents, and the local media, all eager to witness the groundbreaking efforts aimed at elevating the standards of living in the area.

Joe Sekpeh, the Grand Kru County Development Officer, delivered an impactful overview of the project during the ceremony. “Today marks a transformative moment for Barclayville,” he stated, emphasizing the importance of infrastructure in promoting economic growth and community well-being.

The Grand Kru County Development Officer outlined the project’s objectives, which include improving road connectivity, opening of new roads identified for the layout of Barclayville, reducing travel time, and facilitating easier access to essential services for the residents.

“The allocation of 15,000.00 US dollars from the County Development Fund signifies our commitment to the development of this city,” Sekpeh added; highlighting the collaborative efforts between local government and community leaders to bring about this much-needed change.

He expressed gratitude to all stakeholders involved and reiterated the importance of continued collaboration to ensure the project’s success.

According to him, the arrival of earth-moving equipment is seen as a vital asset for the execution of the project, enabling faster and more efficient construction of the city’s streets.
