    Lofa County, Voinjama City – Friday, January 17, 2025 – Lofa County Health team recently concluded a major acquaintance and project implementation meeting at the County Health Team office in Voinjama City. The meeting brought together officers in Charge from the different Clinics, Health facilities in the county.

    According to Lofa County Health officer Dr. Moses Ujoe Weidhgar, the acquaintance and project implementation meeting was intended to get success stories from (OIC), challenges and recommendations across from the county with overall aim of enhancing service delivery for the good of the population being served in the county.

    During the meeting, ( OICs) from various health facilities in the County expressed deep satisfaction for having such an important meeting and many of them outlined several challenges, progress and at the same, made some recommendations.

    Some of the Health workers who attended the API meeting pay keen attention as CHO speaks.

    In separate presentations, Officers in Charge (OICs) from different health facilities said, they were thankful to the national government for the provision of major malaria medication and other essential drugs at their individual facilities.

    At the same time, several challenges were mentioned by the health workers including among others, the lack of electricity, lack of safe drinking water, low manpower, lack of security, and above of all, equipment to effectively do their work.

    During their meeting, The ( OICs) quickly called on government to address these  burning concerns which in turn would enable them further maximize performance  from their respective facilities in Lofa County.

    In response to their concerns, Lofa County Health officer Dr. Moses Ujoe Weidhgar promised that their concerns will be addressed through the Minister of Health of the Republic of Liberia. In addition, Dr. Weidhgar encouraged health workers to keep hope alive and muster the courage as well as continues serving humanity and the country.

    The acquaintance and project Implementation meeting was held simultaneously in all districts across Lofa County.
