Voinjama City, Lofa County —Sunday, October 26, 2025—District #5 from Zorzor City registered their first win in the ongoing Lofa County Electoral District League with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over District #3 of Kolahun District on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Voinjama Sports Pitch.
The encounter, which marked Day Two of the tournament, saw District #5 dominate early proceedings. In the 9th minute, defender T. Edward, wearing jersey #5, broke the deadlock with a powerful strike that beat the goalkeeper to give his side a 1–0 lead. Just five minutes later, forward William Tamba (jersey #11) doubled the advantage with a stunning long-range effort, putting District #5 firmly in control at 2–0 within the first 14 minutes of play.
Despite the early setback, District #3 regrouped and showed more intent in the second half. Their persistence paid off when Duckly, wearing jersey #7, pulled one back for Kolahun District, giving hope to their fans and adding intensity to the closing stages of the match.
However, District #5’s defense stood tall under pressure, holding on to their narrow lead until the final whistle to claim all three points.
The win places District #5 at the top of the standings with three points and a +1 goal difference. They are set to return to action tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. in their final group-stage fixture against District #1. A win or draw will guarantee their spot in the semifinals of the Lofa County Electoral District League.
