Voinjama City, Lofa County – Electoral District #5, representing Zorzor and Salayea, has reached the Grand Final of the 2025 Lofa County Electoral District League after a thrilling 2–1 victory over District #4 (Voinjama and Quardu Bondi) on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Voinjama Sports Pitch.

District #5 wasted no time asserting dominance, finding the back of the net just three minutes into the first half of the 45-minute encounter. District #4 responded strongly, leveling the score in the 30th minute before heavy rainfall temporarily slowed the tempo of the game. The first half ended 1–1.

In the second half, both sides displayed high energy and determination, but it was District #5 that sealed the win with a decisive goal in the fourth minute of added time, sending their supporters into wild celebration.

With the victory, District #5 (Zorzor & Salayea) advanced to the Grand Final of the 2025 tournament, keeping alive their dream of lifting the coveted district league trophy.

The second semi-final is scheduled for Friday, October 31, 2025, between District #1 (Foya Statutory District) and District #2 (Vahun and Wanhassa). The winner of that clash will face District #5 in the Grand Final, set for Sunday, November 2, 2025, at the Voinjama Sports Pitch.
