According to some of those who once resided in the now destroyed building, the fire broke at 9:00 am when majority of them had gone out especially to the market.

Moreover, the occupants were not able to take a single item from the house as a result of the high intensity of the fire. However, there was no reported death but quantity of damaged properties.

With the structure completely destroyed, the victims are seeking refuge at the homes of families, friends and associates.

One side of the destroyed house.

During an interview with RNN, Makula Kromah; the owner of the affected property said, “I lived in this house with my children; we are a family of 22. We had no generator or large machine, just a solar system for lights and television.”

She furthered sadly, “All the essential belongings for men, women, and children were in that house, and everything is gone. I was only a short distance away when a neighbor called to tell me that my house was on fire. By the time we arrived, it was too late that we couldn’t take anything out. The clothes I’m wearing are all I have left.”

Meanwhile, Makula Kromah and her family are calling on the county authority and the public to kindly come to their aid as they have lost almost everything they once had due to the fire incident.
