    Gbarpolu County Local Government Receives Twenty-Two Bids for 8 Development Projects

    ‎Bopolu City, Gbarpolu County-October 02, 2025-In a landmark step toward delivering the 2025 development agenda, the Gbarpolu County Local Government opened bids on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, for eight approved projects.

    ‎A total of 22 companies’ submitted bids in response to the invitation published on September 13, 2025.

    ‎The procurement process will now move into bid evaluation, with contract signing and project implementation following in accordance with Liberia’s procurement laws.

    ‎Key projects approved for 2025 include

    ‎Zelekai Clinic Construction in Bokomu District — USD 55,000

    ‎Palaquelleh Vocational School in Guo Nwolailai District — USD 75,000

    ‎Zuie Junior High School Construction in Kongba District — USD 85,000

    ‎Gotoma Bridge Project in Bopolu District — USD 75,000

    ‎Renovation of Gbarma Statutory Administrative Building — USD 75,000

    ‎Kalata Clinic Construction in Belle District — USD 70,000

    ‎Renovation of Gbarpolu County Administrative Building in Bopolu City — USD 39,000

    ‎Construction of Gbarpolu County Sports Stadium in Bopolu City — USD 150,000 (allocated from a redirected bridge project originally funded in 2023).

    ‎Important Notes:

    ‎The eight projects form part of the 2025 development plan, prepared by the County Administration and presented on July 30, 2025, refined through a robust public hearing, and adopted in full on August 22, 2025, in compliance with Liberia’s Local Government Act.

    ‎The sports stadium project is a priority ahead of the pending National County Sports Meet.

    ‎The reallocation of funds from a 2023 bridge project to the stadium demonstrates prudent, responsive budgeting by the County Council.

    ‎Bidding Details:

    ‎The eight projects attracted 22 bidding firms, with the following distribution of bids per project:

    ‎  1) Gbarpolu County Sports Stadium — Six bidding firms applied

    ‎  2) Gotoma Bridge Project — Seven bidding firms applied

    ‎  3) Palaquelleh Vocational School — Six bidding firms applied

    ‎  4) Zuie Junior High School Construction — Four bidding firms applied

    ‎  5) Zelekai Clinic Construction — Five bidding firms applied

    ‎  6) Kalata Clinic Construction — Two bidding firms applied

    ‎  7) Renovation of Gbarma Administrative Building — Two bidding firms applied

    ‎  8) Renovation of the County Administration Building, Bopolu City — One bidding firm applied

    ‎2.            United Lofa Group of Companies — 1 Bid submitted

    ‎3.            Advance Construction & Engineering Corporation — 3 Bids submitted

    ‎4.            George Group of Companies — 1 Bid submitted

    ‎5.            Neiama Engineering Construction & Consistency Services Inc. — 2 Bids submitted

    ‎6.            Quardus — 1 Bid submitted

    ‎7.            Home Land Construction Company — 2 Bids submitted

    ‎8.            AECC — 1 Bid Submitted

    ‎9.            LICDRIC — 2 Bids submitted

    ‎10.          Pure Group of Companies — 1 Bid submitted

    ‎11.          DAPAT Construction Company — 5 Bids submitted

    ‎12.          Fahnbulleh & Fahnbulleh Construction Company — 1 Bid submitted

    ‎13.          Royal Company — 1 Bid submitted

    ‎14.          Queen Lajoy — 2 Bids submitted

    ‎15.          BEFOCO Group of Companies — 1 Bid submitted

    ‎16.          AMMETON Construction Company — 2 Bids submitted

    ‎17.          Western Trade Investment Inc. — 1 Bid submitted

    ‎18.          SAMIE Construction Company — 1 Bid submitted

    ‎19.          Focus Construction & Architectural Design Inc. — 1 Bid submitted

    ‎20.          PSA Construction Liberia Limited — 1 Bid submitted

    ‎21.           Massan & Sheriff Group of Companies — 1 Bid submitted

    ‎22.          Dream Technology Group of Companies — 1 Bid submitted

    ‎Next steps

    The Bid Evaluation Committee will assess bids for compliance with legal, financial, and technical requirements according to the County Finance Officer Howard Bunday.

    ‎He said that the Procurement Committee will also verify adherence to Liberia’s procurement laws before notifying winners.

    ‎Successful bidders will be contacted for contract signing and subsequent project rollout across Gbarpolu, with priority given to the sports stadium.

    ‎Meanwhile, stakeholders and observers, including the media and civil society organizations such as CENTAL, witnessed the bid opening at the County Administration Building in Bopolu City.

    ‎The public is encouraged to stay informed as the County Finance Officer, Howard Bunday, and the evaluation and procurement teams move the process forward toward timely implementation.
