    Gola Konneh District-based School Observes Ecstatic Extracurricular Activities

    GRAND CAPE MOUNT – Fahn Badah Memorial Public Junior High School, in Lofa Bridge Town, Mana Clan, Gola Konneh District, Grand Cape Mount County, was a hub of excitement and beautiful display of talents in various extracurricular activities recently, as the institution observed its annual Old and New Students Games Day.

    In this year’s version of its extracurricular activities which witnessed current and former students of the school competing in several games including the academic showpiece, spelling bee, and quizzing; as well as kickball and football matches, the old students were outstanding in their performances.

    In a thrilling display of both skills and academic excellence, the old students triumphed over the newcomers, the new students, in both kickball and quizzing competitions.

    Fahn Badah Memorial Public School’s old students put up an impressive show in the kickball match, humiliating the newcomers to a 22 to 7 innings score line, while in the quizzing contest, the old students also clinched an impressive victory with a convincing score of 285 to 100 points.

    However, the newcomers salvaged a win in the spelling bee competition, with student Mohammed Thomas leading the charge and securing a sweet victory for his side.

    Mohammed was a delight to watch, as his excellent academic performance was thrilling, as he demonstrated brilliance in providing point-making answers to the delight of his fans and members of his team alike.

    In the football encounter, both sides settled for an exciting 1-1 draw.

    To climax activities of the day, the students locked horns with their teachers in an action-filled football match, which was won by the teachers.
