Barclayville City, Grand Kru County |May 15, 2026|More than 40 stakeholders from across Grand Kru County recently took part in an ethics, accountability, and governance training organized by the Office of the Ombudsman.
The training brought together government workers, civil society groups, students from Grand Kru Technical College, motorcyclists, youth representatives, women groups, chiefs, elders, and community leaders.
The program focused on important topics such as the National Code of Conduct, Asset Declaration, Ethics Compliance, Professional Ethics, and the work of the Office of the Ombudsman.
Participants discussed ways to improve honesty, professionalism, and responsibility within public institutions and communities across the county.
Abraham Julian Wennah said the training is part of a wider awareness campaign taking place in Liberia’s Western Region, Southeast, and parts of Central Liberia.

According to him, the initiative aims to help people better understand ethical standards and regulations that guide public service in Liberia.
Wennah explained that involving different groups in the training is important for promoting transparency and accountability at both the community and institutional levels.
Etmonia Martin praised participants for their strong attendance and active participation during the sessions.
She described the discussions as productive and encouraging.
Martin assured participants that the concerns and recommendations raised during the meeting would be forwarded to the Ombudsman’s head office for review and possible action.
The Office of the Ombudsman said the awareness program is intended to strengthen integrity, encourage responsible leadership, and support good governance in communities across Liberia.
