Grandcess, Grand Kru County– In a poignant address following her graduation ceremony, a 20-year-old female valedictorian from the P. G. High School, Regina W. Davis has highlighted a pressing issue facing her community(Grandcess); the absence of a Magisterial Court in Grandcess.
The young graduate, who has expressed her intent to pursue further studies in law, believes that reawakening the Grandcess Magisterial court is crucial for delivering justice and ensuring the rights of her fellow citizens are upheld.
In an exclusive interview the P. G. Wollor high school 9th Commencement Convocation valedictorian, Regina W. Davis articulated her deep concern over the challenges faced by residents of Grandcess; a town in Grand Kru County that currently lacks a functioning judicial system.
With the nearest court located a significant distance away, many residents face barriers to accessing legal recourse, which can lead to prolonged injustice and unresolved disputes.

“The absence of a Magisterial Court in our town means that many people are left vulnerable,” she stated passionately. “Justice should not be a privilege for the few but a right for all. My dream is to study law so that I can return and serve my community, ensuring that every individual here has access to the legal support they need.”
Regina call to action resonated with many attendees of the graduation ceremony, who applauded her dedication to community service and her determination to effect change. It also sparked conversations among local leaders and residents about the importance of reawakening a judicial presence in Grandcess.
Currently, residents are often forced to travel long distances to reach the nearest court facilities, leading to delays and complications in legal matters ranging from property disputes to family law issues.
The logistical challenges, coupled with financial constraints, particularly affect the most vulnerable members of the community and nearby areas further exacerbating issues of inequality and access to justice.
However, as the valedictorian plans her next steps, she is actively seeking scholarships and programs that will enable her to study law at a reputable institution-Her aspiration is to return to Grandcess and advocate for the reawakening of the Grandcess Magisterial Court, a step she believes is vital for empowering her community and promoting legal awareness.

“It is my hope that by pursuing this path, I can help create a more just society, where everyone has a voice and access to legal representation,” she emphasized. “If we empower our youth to take on these roles, we can begin to change the narrative for future generations.”
As the young valedictorian embarks on her journey, she stands as a beacon of hope and inspiration for many in Grand Kru County.
Her ambition to bridge the justice gap through law underscores the potential of the next generation to create positive change, and her story highlights the urgent need for systemic improvements in access to justice throughout the country-As her community watches with hope as she takes her first steps toward her goal, believing that her success could inspire others to follow in her footsteps, ultimately leading to a brighter future for Grandcess and beyond.
