Kolahun District Lofa County—In a landmark announcement, the Ministry of Health has declared Kolahun District Hospital as the champion of safe motherhood, recognizing it for achieving zero maternal deaths since February 2025. This significant achievement has been attributed to the dedicated efforts of the hospital staff and the cooperative spirit of the community.
The Ministry praised the hospital’s commitment to maternal health, highlighting the crucial role played by Medical Director Vamuyan Koroma. The community expressed their heartfelt appreciation for Koroma’s leadership, exceptional skills, and tireless work in establishing protocols that prioritize maternal safety and care.
