Monrovia, Liberia-Monday, October 27, 2025- Liberia is gearing up to host a major international conference on road development and maintenance.
The 22nd General Assembly of the African Road Maintenance Funds Association (ARMFA) according to the National Road Fund of Liberia will take place in Liberia from November 17-21, 2025.
The event is expected to attract top officials from road fund administrations across Africa, including Chief Executive Officers from Namibia, Mozambique, and Kenya.
Some confirmed attendees include Ali Ipinge, Namibia Road Fund Administration (RFA), Ângelo Macuácua, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Mozambique Road Fund Administration, and Rashid Mohamed, Director General Kenya Roads Board are key international delegates expected to form part of the program.

The conference will provide a platform for road fund CEOs and experts to share knowledge, best practices, and innovative solutions to promote sustainable road maintenance and development in Africa. The event is expected to foster collaboration, partnership, and investment in the road sector.
Liberia, through the National Road Fund has expressed its readiness to host the conference, showcasing its commitment to improving its road infrastructure and contributing to the development of the African road sector. The country’s National Road Fund (NRF) is leading the preparations for the event.

The conference will focus on key topics including Sustainable road maintenance and funding, Road safety and security, Innovative financing mechanisms for road development, as well Capacity building and training for road sector professionals.
By hosting the 22nd ARMFA General Assembly, Liberia is poised to play a leading role in shaping the future of road development and maintenance in Africa.
The National Road Fund of Liberia (NRF) was established on December 12, 2016, through an act of the National Legislature, and published on January 26, 2017. The NRF is responsible for financing road and bridge maintenance works, as well as associated planning and management activities.
