Monrovia, Liberia-October 13, 2025- The National Road Fund (NRF) of Liberia is gearing up to host the 22nd Annual General Assembly of the African Road Maintenance Funds Association (ARMFA) from November 17 to 21, 2025, at the Ministerial Complex.

The event in a statement issued on the Facebook page of the National Road Fund of Liberia, Monday dated October 13, 2025 has already started to draw significant attention from regional leaders, with confirmations of participation pouring in from various countries.

Among the dignitaries who have confirmed their attendance are Hon. Mohamed Kallon, Chief Executive Officer of the Road Maintenance Administration (RMFA) of Sierra Leone, and Lieutenant Colonel Moussa Issa Ikizi, Director General of Niger Road Maintenance Fund (FER).

Two DGs who have already pledged to be at the Liberian conference scheduled for November 17-21,2025.

Their participation underscores the importance of this gathering in promoting regional cooperation and knowledge sharing in road maintenance and development.

For starter, the ARMFA General Assembly provides a unique platform for road industry stakeholders to come together, share best practices, and discuss pressing issues affecting the sector.

The event will bring together over 350 delegates from 35 African countries, making it a significant gathering of experts and policymakers in the field of road infrastructure development.

Liberia’s hosting of the ARMFA General Assembly aligns with President Joseph Boakai’s ARREST Agenda, which prioritizes infrastructure development, particularly road connectivity.

The event is expected to promote Liberia’s visibility as a hub for business and investment in West Africa, while also highlighting the country’s commitment to improving its road network.

The ARMFA General Assembly is expected to have a positive impact on Liberia’s economy, with delegates from across Africa and beyond converging on Monrovia. The event will not only showcase Liberia’s hospitality but also provide opportunities for local businesses to engage with international partners.

As the countdown to the ARMFA General Assembly begins, the National Road Fund is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that the event is a success.

With the theme of road maintenance and development at the forefront, this gathering is set to be a landmark event in Liberia’s history.

    About ARMFA:

The African Road Maintenance Funds Association (ARMFA-AFERA) is a leading nonpolitical, non-profit entity committed to advancing road infrastructure across Africa. Founded on December 18, 2003, in Libreville, Gabon, its inception was a direct response to recommendations from the Consultative Meeting of Road Maintenance Funds held in Yaoundé, Cameroon, in March 2003. ARMFA-AFERA serves as a crucial platform for sharing expertise and promoting best practices in road maintenance throughout Africa. The organization actively explores and advocates for sustainable funding mechanisms, strengthening collaboration among African Road Funds to achieve long-term financial and operational sustainability in the road sector. With nearly two decades of dedicated service, ARMFA-AFERA has solidified its position as a key institution at both African and international levels, continually striving to build upon its achievements and further its mission, particularly as it navigates its 2023–2027 strategic planning period.
