The annual vacation league brings together young people from across the region, and this year’s finals carried added significance with Kwabo’s presence. Traveling with more than 15 delegates from Zorzor District, Liberia, he was invited after delivering an earlier message of hope and cross-border cooperation during a friendly match in Wakesu, Lofa County. Inspired by his words, Fassankony youth requested that he share the same message on their soil.

Kwabo and his delegation received a warm welcome from local authorities, including the youth leader, commissioner, city mayor, and traditional leaders. In their remarks, officials praised Kwabo for his leadership and unwavering contributions to young people in Zorzor and Liberia at large.
Fassankony Youth Leader Amara Condi pledged continued collaboration, stressing the importance of strengthening ties between Guinean and Liberian youth.

“Sixty percent of the world’s population is youth, and they are involved in many things,” he said. “If the youth are united, there will be peace in both countries. And if the youth are united, both Liberia and Guinea will enjoy not just peace, but also a stronger relationship.”
For the people of Fassankony, the football finale went beyond sport—it became a moment of unity and a reminder that through dialogue and sportsmanship, borders can be bridged and brighter as well as shared future imagined.
