Tubmanburg, Bomi County–July 29, 2025-In a race against time, two renowned civil society leaders in Bomi County have launched a desperate appeal for urgent medical assistance to save the life of a 29-year-old soccer enthusiast, Varney “Juniordoski” Sirleaf, who is battling a life-threatening illness.
Moses Sah and Augustus Momo, both widely respected for their unwavering humanitarian work and community advocacy, issued a joint emotional plea, calling on government agencies, humanitarian organizations, businesses, sports lovers and compassionate Liberians worldwide to rally together and give Sirleaf a fighting chance to survive.
“We Cannot Stand By and Watch Him Die”
In a tearful joint interview, Sah and Momo expressed grave concern over Sirleaf’s deteriorating condition, stressing that advanced medical treatment is urgently needed to save his life.
“Varney is in a state of dying,” said Moses Sah, his voice heavy with emotion. “We cannot stand by and watch him fade away when something can still be done. We are pleading with every Liberian, every organization, and every good-hearted person to respond to this call for humanity.”
Varney Sirleaf, affectionately known as Juniordoski, hails from the heart of Dowein District, where he was born in the humble yet proud town of Amadou. He is widely admired not only for his roots but for the remarkable character he exhibits.
Known for his deep sense of respect, warm jovial nature, and unwavering friendliness, Juniordoski has earned the love and admiration of many within and beyond his community. A true people’s person, he is always willing to lend a helping hand and extend kindness where needed.
Among soccer enthusiasts, Juniordoski stands out as a household name; a passionate football lover whose energy and support for the game have positioned him as a loving soccer fan and an inspiration to others. In the hearts of many, he is not just a supporter of the sport but a symbol of unity and youthful positivity.
A United Humanitarian Call
The civil society leaders are urging “Bomians” and Liberians both at home and abroad not to remain indifferent but to unite in compassion and mobilize resources for Sirleaf’s treatment.
Their appeal extends to churches, community-based organizations, youth groups, sports/football clubs and the private sector, calling for a collective push to ensure that Sirleaf receives the urgent care he desperately needs.
“This is not just a family’s fight; it is a community’s fight,” said Augustus Momo. “We are calling on everyone who believes in humanity to join us and help save Juniordoski’s life.”
