Barclayville City, Grand Kru County-Gender, Children & Social Protection Coordinator Regina Walker has condemned the recent death of a 32-year-old woman identified as Victoria Tarkah.
Madam Regina Walker disclosed that victim Victoria Tarkah lifeless body was discovered on the outskirts of Ylatwen Community of Wedabo in Electoral District #1, Grand Kru County.
A team of police officers led by Inspector Brownstone Hne responded to the scene, but upon arrival, they found no suspects present.
According to eyewitnesses, three alleged perpetrators identified as Abednego Dweh, Boniface Nyengar, and Bernord Kuoh believed to be residents of Ylatwen have reportedly escaped with the assistance of some Community Watch Forum members of the town.
Police investigation reliably gathered that on Sunday, September 7, 2025, around noon indicated that they received a call from Allison Bloh, the general Town Chief of Ylatwen Township who reported that a group of young men from the area had attacked a woman named Victoria Tarkah, a 32-year-old, a resident of Ylatwen.

Report indicated that victim Victoria Tarkah was unconscious, and after a while, she couldn’t be found while her three aggressors got arrested by the community watch forum and were in their custody.
Madam Walker referenced reports from the Grand Kru County Police Detachment, which indicated that Victoria Tarkah was murdered by poisoning on grounds that she was accused of witchcraft.
She further quoted police investigation that the team inquired with the town chief about Victoria’s whereabouts, but he feigned ignorance and provided no useful information; adding that no community member was willing to assist the police either.
The Gender Coordinator expressed her appreciation for the swift response from the Grand Kru County Police Detachment upon being notified of the incident, as she assured that justice will prevail for Victoria and urged citizens to be law-abiding.
