    Voinjama Free Pentecostal Mission High School Advances To Regional Spot In National High School Sports Jamboree

    Voinjama, Lofa County–The 2025 edition of the Lofa County High School Championship kicked off today, July 22, 2025 in grand style in Voinjama City, drawing hundreds of students and sports enthusiasts from across the region.

    In the thrilling football showdown, Voinjama Free Pentecostal Mission High School emerged victorious with a commanding 2–0 win over Voinjama Multilateral High School, securing their place in the next stage of the National High School Sports Jamboree.

    In the kickball category, Voinjama Multilateral High School clinched the title with a strong performance against Voinjama Public High School.

    Both winning teams—Voinjama Free Pentecostal (football) and Voinjama Multilateral (kickball)—will now move to the next level of the tournament, aiming for a spot in the Regional Championship. The Regional stage, which will also be held in Voinjama City, will feature champion teams from Bomi, Cape Mount, and Margibi Counties, all competing under Region 1.

    In an exclusive interview with the Rural Reporters News Network, tournament organizers confirmed that the winners will receive cash prizes and gain valuable travel experience as part of their victory package.

    The six-day championship features thirteen high schools across Lofa County, including: Zorzor Central High School, Salayea Central High School, St. Joseph Catholic Mission High School, Voinjama Multilateral High School, Voinjama Free Pentecostal Mission School, Voinjama Public High School and Foya Central High School.

    Others are: Tamba Taylor High School, Free Pentecostal Mission School, Assembly of God Mission School, Free Pentecostal Global Mission School, Kolahun Central High School and Bolahun Public School.

    The National High School Sports—organizers of the tournament—will cover transportation, feeding, and accommodation for all champion teams traveling to Voinjama for the upcoming Regional Championship.

    The ultimate winners of the Regional Championship will move on to compete in the final phase of the national tournament, bringing them one step closer to nationwide glory.
