Zorzor, Lofa County –Tuesday, October 7, 2025–Football fever is once again sweeping through Lofa County as Zorzor and Salayea Districts have officially kicked off their player justification ahead of the much-anticipated Lofa County District League, scheduled to begin on October 17, 2025.
The week-long justification exercise has brought together talented players from across the two administrative districts; all vying for a spot on the combined district team that will represent Zorzor and Salayea in this year’s competition.
According to the fixture, the team is expected to face Kolahun District on October 18, before clashing with Foya District on October 19, 2025 — two crucial matches that will test the strength and teamwork of the newly assembled squad.

Speaking to reporters, Coach Johnson G. Flomo, head of the Zorzor–Salayea District team, expressed joy over the return of the district league to Lofa County after several years of inactivity.
“I’m happy that the district league is finally back,” Coach Flomo said. “We are currently conducting justification to select the best players from across the two districts. The turnout on the first day was very impressive, and I’m encouraged by the level of interest and commitment shown by the players.”
He emphasized that the justification process is open to all players within the district who possess not just football talent, but also discipline, teamwork, and moral character — qualities he considers essential for representing the district.
“If a player wants to be part of the district team, he must be disciplined and show good behavior both on and off the pitch. We are looking for quality players who will make our district proud,” Coach Flomo added.
The coach also made a passionate appeal to district authorities and community leaders to support the players during the justification process. He urged them to visit the training camp, provide motivational support, and assist with basic needs such as drinking water and other logistics.
“This is not just football — it’s about unity and pride for Zorzor and Salayea,” he concluded.
As the justification continues, excitement is building among fans who are eager to see their district return to dominance in the Lofa County District League.
