Barclayville City, Grand Kru County |May 25, 2026|The newly assigned Commander of the Liberia National Police in Grand Kru County, Assistant Commissioner of Police Bicarbai Jallah, is calling for stronger cooperation between citizens and police officers to improve security in the county.
Speaking Monday in Barclayville during his first official meeting with officers, ACP Jallah said good policing depends on teamwork between communities and law enforcement officers.
He encouraged residents to support police efforts by sharing credible information about crimes and suspicious activities happening in their communities.
According to him, public cooperation is important in maintaining peace and safety.
Commander Jallah explained that the police alone cannot successfully fight crime without the help of citizens.
He urged residents to see themselves as partners in protecting their communities.
“No man is an island. One person cannot do police work alone,” ACP Jallah said during the meeting with officers.
The police commander also encouraged officers to work respectfully with community members in order to build trust and strengthen community policing across Grand Kru County.
He promised to remain available and accessible to both officers and residents while carrying out his duties.
“Anytime you call me, I will be available at any given time,” he assured.
ACP Jallah also stressed the importance of professionalism and lawful conduct within the police force.
He warned officers against following illegal instructions from influential people or local authorities.
According to him, the leadership of the Liberia National Police will continue to support officers who perform their duties according to established laws and procedures.
The commander further advised senior officers to avoid intimidating junior personnel because of rank.
He said respect, communication, and professionalism are necessary for building a stronger and more effective police force.
Describing police rank as a “borrowed jacket,” ACP Jallah reminded officers that leadership positions are temporary and that discipline and good conduct remain important for career growth and public trust in the security sector.
