Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County |Feb.1, 2026 | Residents of Grand Gedeh County are celebrating a major step forward in regional connectivity following the official groundbreaking of the Senewien-Gbo/Plo Road project.
The ambitious construction initiative, spearheaded and funded by the Citizens Movement for Change (CMC), aims to link the Senewien community directly to the Gbo/Plo Administrative District, addressing longstanding transportation hurdles in the region.
During the ceremony held on Friday, January 30, CMC Political Leader Hon. Musa Hassan Bility reaffirmed that infrastructure development remains the backbone of the party’s national agenda.
Bility described the project as more than just a local road, calling it the “starting point” for a broader network of connectivity throughout Grand Gedeh.
”Infrastructure development is a core focus of the CMC,” Bility stated. “This project is a testament to our commitment. I urge all citizens to take ownership of this work so we can ensure its successful and timely completion.”
The event saw a strong showing of local support, including Hon. Jacob Debee, Representative of District 3. Debee hailed the project as a “milestone achievement” for his constituents, praising the CMC leadership for prioritizing the county’s developmental needs.
