Monrovia, Liberia, Saturday, November 15, 2025- The Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA) has partnered with Starlink and the Ministry of Education to revolutionize digital learning in Liberia.

As part of this initiative, Starlink’s low-orbit satellite internet will be installed in 156 schools nationwide, bridging the digital divide and empowering students and teachers with reliable internet access.

Such move, the LTA said will enhance educational quality through access to digital resources and online learning platforms, making internet connectivity accessible to rural areas, promoting inclusivity and equal opportunities for learners across all counties.

This partnership is expected to transform teaching and learning nationwide, equipping students and teachers with the tools they need to compete in today’s global digital world.

By leveraging Starlink’s satellite technology, Liberia aims to enhance digital literacy, improve educational outcomes and an increase access to online resources.

According to the LTA, Liberia’s internet penetration currently stands at 33.6% of the population, with many areas lacking reliable internet access. Starlink’s satellite internet promises to bridge this gap, providing high-speed internet to remote and underserved areas.

This initiative marks a significant milestone in Liberia’s digital transformation agenda, demonstrating the government’s commitment to improving education and connectivity nationwide.
