Monrovia, Liberia |June 2, 2026 |A group of students from Southeastern Liberia enrolled at the Liberia School of Law recently visited Cllr. Johnathan Fonati Koffa at his private office to seek professional guidance and mentorship as they continue their legal education.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the students to interact with an experienced legal practitioner and discuss important topics related to legal education, leadership, governance, and the role of lawyers in society.
During the engagement, Cllr. Koffa encouraged the students to remain committed to excellence, professionalism, and ethical conduct as they prepare for careers in the legal profession.
He emphasized the importance of the law in promoting accountability, justice, democratic governance, and social stability throughout the country.
The students described the discussion as both educational and inspiring.
They said the interaction helped them gain a better understanding of the legal profession and its contribution to national development.
Participants noted that hearing directly from an experienced lawyer provided practical insights that cannot always be learned in the classroom.
The students thanked Cllr. Koffa for taking time to meet with them and share his experiences and advice.
They described the visit as a valuable learning opportunity.
Appreciation was also extended to Chief of Office Staff Chris Joboe and other staff members who assisted in organizing and facilitating the meeting.
The visit highlights the growing interest among young Liberian law students in seeking mentorship from experienced professionals to strengthen their academic and career development.
Observers say mentorship programs and professional engagements like this can help prepare future lawyers to serve their communities, uphold the rule of law, and contribute positively to national development.
