    River Gee Health Leaders Attend Public Health Seminar in China

    Fish-Town, River Gee County |June 2, 2026|Two healthcare professionals from River Gee County have departed Liberia to participate in an international Public Health Seminar in Changchun, China, aimed at strengthening public health knowledge and healthcare leadership.

    The delegates are Pauline Weah Mehdeh and B.Z. Milton Nyema. They are among a select group of Liberian health professionals chosen to attend the international training program.

    According to the River Gee County Health Team, the seminar provides an important opportunity for participants to gain new knowledge, share experiences, and learn from global public health experts.

    Health authorities expressed appreciation to the Government of Liberia and the Ministry of Health for creating opportunities that support professional growth and strengthen the country’s healthcare system.

    The Health Team noted that the selection of Dr. Mehdeh and Dr. Nyema reflects their dedication, leadership, and commitment to improving healthcare services for residents of River Gee County.

    “This opportunity is a clear recognition of their hard work, leadership, and contribution to the health sector,” the Health Team stated.

    Officials said they are confident the two professionals will gain valuable skills and experiences that can benefit communities back home.

    The seminar is expected to expose participants to modern public health strategies, disease prevention approaches, healthcare management systems, and emerging global health practices.

    Health authorities believe the training will help participants’ better address healthcare challenges and strengthen service delivery within local health facilities.

    Upon their return, Dr. Mehdeh and Dr. Nyema are expected to share the knowledge and experiences gained from the seminar with other healthcare workers through training sessions and professional development programs.

    Officials say this knowledge-sharing process will help build local capacity, improve healthcare standards, and strengthen the overall health system in River Gee County.

    The participation of the two health professionals highlights River Gee County’s commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

    Local health leaders believe such international opportunities can contribute to better healthcare services, stronger institutions, and improved health outcomes for communities across the county.
